STEPHEN A. ALWIN, 23 BELOIT, Wis. - Stephen A. Alwin, 23, of Beloit died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Mercy Hospital, from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born Dec. 30, 1986, in Beloit, the son of Steven Alwin and Susan (Oldenburg) Alwin- Popp. Graduated from Craig High School, and had been a Janesville and Beloit area resident all of his life. Stephen had been employed by Chrysler in Belvidere. He loved being surrounded by his friends, playing video games, wrestling, paintball, baseball, riding his motorcycle, loved buying, trading, and repairing his own fleet of cars, and had a kind, giving and thoughtful heart. Survived by mother, Susan (Tom) Alwin-Popp of Beloit; father, Steven (Shelley) Alwin of South Beloit, Ill.; sister, Sarah Alwin of Houston; stepbrother, Eric Popp of Fitchburg; stepsister, Ali Rehfeldt of South Beloit; paternal grandmother, Joan Alwin of Janesville; maternal grandmother, Darlene Oldenburg of Janesville; maternal grandfather, Walter (Pat Nosolik) Oldenburg of Beloit; paternal great- grandmother, Mildred Ludwig of Janesville; and many aunts, uncles, other extended family and many close friends. Predeceased by paternal grandfather, Alan Alwin. Service at 10 a.m. Monday, April 12, in First Lutheran Church, 612 N. Randall Ave., Janesville, WI 53545; the Rev. James Melvin will officiate. Visitation from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11, in Schneider Apfel Schneider and Schneider Funeral Home, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville, WI 53545.
