Denise,
Our hearts go out to you and your family. We were shocked to hear about your dad's passing. We had talked to him at church that morning.
Your dad was the first person to welcome us to Maywood 2 years ago.
Always smiling...encouraging...concerned about us. We didn't know your folks very well, but felt God's love through them. Our arms are wrapped around all of you. We will deeply miss Tom.

Dear Carol, Donald, Diane, Duane, Denise, Deidre & Debra,
I am so sorry for your loss. We Fritz kids have many fond memories of time spent with your family. Carol, you were so gracious and hospitable. Donnie, Diane, Denise, Duane and baby Deidre were always sweet and fun to be with. I remember your dad as always so good natured and patient - a real positive influence on our dad! The friendship our parents (Chambers & Fritz) enjoyed was a blessing to us all. There is no doubt he is in heaven with the Lord he loved and served. May God comfort and bless you always.
Love,
Debra Luke (formerly Fritz)

My neighbor Tom Chambers. He drove a truck, as a Teamster, for his entire adult life. Had problems but worked them out in his life. A devout Christian, who would always wave when he saw us drive by, always would stop and visit with people on his regular walks around the neighborhood. He would help the boys mow the neighbor’s lawn, and generally was a friend to all. We walked for a while together so I would get some exercise, and frequently he spoke of his faith, and I of mine. He had a hard time seeing the points of doctrine that I was making with him, and he was frustrated, soon we stopped walking together. I don’t think there were any hard feelings, but I sure respect him as a man, as a neighbor and as a follower of Christ. I will miss Tom. His smile and his hello, his genuine interest in my family and I. My hope is that when the time comes that I pass along that others will have the same opinion of me, that I was a Christian, a friend to all, a disciple of Christ, that I had a kind word, and a smile for others, and was able to look beyond differences. When I see Tom again, I will shake his hand and embrace him.

My sincere condolences on your families loss, and on a larger scale a loss for all of us who know him.

Dear Chambers Family,
I was so sad to hear the news when Jess called and let me know that Grandpa Chambers passed away. But-isn't it awesome that the Lord Himself welcomed him into heaven? He was a special guy, and definitely steadfast in Faith. What an honor that The Lord placed him into your family: but what a higher honor for him that one day all of his children, grandchildren and extended family will also join him in heaven! I thank God for his life, and I pray that you all will have peace in your hearts knowing you will meet again. I always enjoyed being around him-at First Baptist, at Target, and at different "Chambers Family Events" He will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
