Winefred Reynolds Obituary

WINEFRED H. REYNOLDS, 73 ROCKFORD - Winefred H. Reynolds, 73, of Rockford died Thursday, April 15, 2010, in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 10, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Antoinette (Schneller) Johnstone. She has lived in the Rockford area for the past 30 years, coming here from Mount Prospect. Winnie married Thomas A. Reynolds on May 24, 1986, in Belvidere. She was employed as a clerk for Tuggle's Orchid Dry Cleaners. Active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere. She enjoyed making memories with friends, family and especially with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, puzzles and shopping with her girls. Survived by husband, Tom, of Rockford; daughters, Jill (Arthur, III) Reichel of Hillside, Cindy (Tim) Tolliver of Floyd, Iowa, and Karen (Tim) Kudzma of Rockford; stepsons, Mark (Rachel) Reynolds of El Paso, Texas, and Jim (Amber) Reynolds of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Ryan and Jared Tolliver, and Rebecca and Sarah Reynolds. Winnie was blessed to be part of a large family of three brothers and 10 sisters. Predeceased by her parents; and a brother. Service at noon, Monday, April 19, in Chapel Hill Garden South Chapel, 11333 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, with visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Allan Buss, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial in Chapel Hill Gardens South. Memorials may be given in Winnie's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
