Arne Johnson Obituary
He was born in Goteborg, Sweden, October 24, 1916, son of Henry and Marta (Berg) Jansson. The family immigrated to the United States in the 1930s.
Upon graduating high school in Katonah, New York, Arne went on to graduate with an engineering degree from the University of Michigan.
He worked as an aeronautical engineer, mainly in Connecticut and New York. Upon retiring in 1978, he and his wife, Elnora, moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, and then came to Rutland in 2006.
Surviving are his wife, Elnora Johnson of Rutland; a son, Hans Johnson and wife, Carol (Carr) LaBrecque of Rutland; and a granddaughter, Kaylee Johnson of Framingham, Massachusetts.
He was predeceased by a sister, Brita Johnson; and a brother, Bengt Johnson.
Arrangements are by the Clifford Funeral Home, but at Arne's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to donate to a charity of their choosing.
