Edna M. Bushman

Edna Martha Bushman, of Rutland, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Mountain View Center in Rutland.
She was born March 25, 1931, in Orwell, the daughter of Andrew and Doris (Miller) Thomson.
She received her early education in Orwell.
On Aug. 6, 1949, she married Charles Cole in Whiting. They raised their family in Leicester. Mr. Cole died May 12, 1984. She later married George Bushman who predeceased her in 2003.
Mrs. Bushman worked at Friendly's Restaurant in Manchester for several years.
She enjoyed reading, computer games, embroidery and collecting angel figurines.
Survivors include four sons Dounta Cole, of Benson, Gene Cole, of Bennington, Andrew Cole, of Brattleboro, and Jonathan Cole, of Rutland; five daughters Deborah Stockwell, of Burlington, Wanda Stiles, of Whitehall, New York, Patricia and Gloria Cole, both of Glens Falls, New York, and Kelia Clark of Castleton; three siblings Andrew Thomson, of Rutland, John Thomson, of West Haven, and Clara Wells, of Wallingford; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by four children Susan Vaughn, Michael, Timothy and William Cole.
Private committal service will be held at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandon.
