She was a Certified Amateur Ski Instructor and an avid tennis player. She was an active member of the Pico Ski Club and was awarded Honorary Membership in recognition of her contributions. She continued to ski and play tennis into her eighties.

Dear Family,

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I worked at The Gables for 5 years and came to know Betty very well. Her and my great grandma, Martha Round were close friends. Betty was such a lovely, kind, and caring person... I will miss her dearly.

Dear Nancy, Greg, Robbie & Families:

Those we hold most dear never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared and the love they brought into our lives.

Please accept my prayers and condolences at your loss. Your Mom/Grandmother was a great lady and had a kind word and smile for everyone she met.

She is now with the love of her life, The Judge, and Heaven has gained another angel to watch over the McClallen families.

My very first ski lesson was with "Robbie McClallen's mother" up at the Pico Ski School on the J-bar slope. That was in third grade. Over the years I have used the "pass around ski boots" from Greg, keeping everyone in equipment. I am now 60 and looking forward to the ski season this year. Thank you Mrs. McClallen! My sincere condolences to the family.

I remember Mrs McClallen as a cheerful, really energetic and very smart person. I didn't know she was such a good tennis player but always remember seeing her at Pico - a mainstay there. Am so glad I knew her

My sincere condolences to the McClallen family. Betty (and Ed) was a "pioneer" in laying the foundation that made the Pico Ski Club what it is today. R.I.P. Betty
