Ernest Hakey Obituary

EAST ALSTEAD, N.H. - Ernest Stanley Hakey II, a resident of East Alstead, New Hampshire, died on August 16, 2013, at the age of 79 years.

He was born on March 3, 1934, to Ernest S. Hakey and Lillian Devoid in the town of Grafton, Vermont.

He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1953, and served a tour of duty in Korea.

He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty G. Barber Hakey; four sons; three daughters-in-law; a grandson, and five granddaughters; a younger brother, Bertie and wife, Rita; and half-brother, Hartwell Bowers and wife, Irene.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Paralyzed Veterans of America located in Wilton, NH.

Services will be private.
