Geraldine Racicot Obituary
She was born March 10, 1929, in Bennington, the daughter of Benjamin and Irene (Parker) Gauthier.
She received her education in Bennington schools, and was a graduate of Bennington High School, class of 1947.
On June 12, 1948, she married Raymond Racicot in Bennington. He died Nov. 11, 2008.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church.
She volunteered for the Red Cross in Bennington.
She was an avid New York Yankees and Derek Jeter fan.
Survivors include her children: Timothy Racicot of Webster Grove, Mo., Scott Racicot, Gary Racicot and Kari Thomas, all of Bennington, Gayle Racicot of Danvers, Mass., Kelli Griffin of Beverly, Mass., and Dennis Racicot of Moira, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Blodgett of Bennington; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great-grandson.
A prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, followed by an 11 a.m. Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. At her request, there will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School, through Mahar and Son Funeral Home.

My sincere condolences to the family of my cousin Gerry. I will always remember the summer I spent babysitting the younger children while Mom and Dad worked. Gerry had a full wonderful life. Sorry for your loss.
