Harry W. Doaner Jr.

Harry W. Doaner Jr., 83, of Rutland, died March 7, 2017, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born March 27, 1933, in Bristol, Vermont, son of Harry W. and Laura (Ploof) Doaner.
Harry was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He married Marilyn McMahon on June 2, 1956, in Rutland.
Mr. Doaner was employed by Howe Scale Co. and Coca Cola Co.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NY Yankees and feeding squirrels.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Doaner, of Rutland; two daughters, Kathy Skaza, and her husband, Ron, of Wallingford, Debbie Doaner, of Rutland; five sons, Kevin Doaner, Mike Doaner, and his wife, Donna, Chris Doaner, Brian Doaner, and his wife, Bev, all of Rutland, Bill Doaner, of Hawaii; a brother, Chet Doaner, of Hartland; a sister, Theresa Curtis, of Rochester; a granddaughter, Laura Skaza, of South Burlington; four grandsons, Andrew Doaner, of Brandon, Josh Skaza, of Wallingford, Billy Doaner, of Hawaii, Cody Doaner, of Rutland; a special great-grandson, Benjamin Skaza Conway, of Proctor; a special little girl, Sasha, of Rutland; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Roger Doaner, Allan Doaner; and an infant brother, Donald.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017, in the Clifford Funeral Home. A reception will follow.
Burial will be held at a later date in Lake View Cemetery in Shoreham.
Calling hours will be held at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the funeral on Friday.
