Ida F. Taylor

Ida Frankiewicz Taylor, age 98, died peacefully on 12/23/15 at the Mountain View Center in Rutland VT. after a short illness.
Ida was born February 4th, 1917, in Rutland VT, the daughter of Stephen and Julia Frankiewicz. She graduated from MSJ High School in Rutland, VT, and later from Rutland Business College, receiving a degree in accounting. She then became the bookkeeper for Frankiewicz Brothers Painting.
Ida was a member of St. Peter Church where she played the organ for many years and she was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her flowers, rock gardens and winters in Florida, also playing the piano at shows and concerts. She was an avid bird and animal watcher. Ida is survived by two sons Donald Jr. (Lillian) Taylor, Gregory S. (Darlene) Taylor; and a daughter, Martha J. (Dick) Smith, all of Rutland, VT.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Donald J. Taylor; and a grandson, Jared Smith.
Ida was predeceased by 5 siblings: Commander Edward J Frankiewicz, Julian Frankiewicz, Irene (Frankiewicz) Gilbert and Thaddeus Frankiewicz.
She is survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visiting hour will be held Wednesday, January 6th 2016, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a brief ceremony at 3:00 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral Home.
