Joseph W. Forrest Sr.

LEICESTER - Joseph William Forrest Sr., age 73, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Rutland Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March 11, 1945, in Crown Point, New York, the son of Richard and Iola (Euber) Forrest. He came to Brandon when he was 2 weeks old and was raised by Marion Forrest.
He received his early education in Cuttingsville schools.
Mr. Forrest served in the U.S. Army from 1964 until 1970.
He owned and operated Joe's Taxi Service for many years.
Survivors include his children Joseph Forrest, of New York, Joseph Forrest Jr., of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Wayne and Chad Forrest, both of North Adams, Massachusetts, Peter Forrest, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Paul Lamarre and Mary Forrest, both of Vermont, Lois Lamarre, of Forest Dale, Fred Forrest, of Rutland, Leon Forrest, of Leicester; two brothers Stanley Forrest, of Whitehall, New York, Butch Palmer, of Pownal; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two children Angelia and Todd Forrest.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Forest Dale Wesleyan Church, where a calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service officiated by the Rev. Joel Tate, pastor.
Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery.
