Josephine Hancsarik Obituary
She was born February 3, 1916, in Florence, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Salwiez) Markowski.
Josie graduated from Pittsford High School.
She was a homemaker in their family home.
Josie was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter Carole Jones and her husband Lawrence; her granddaughter, Christine Kipphut and her husband, Paul; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Amelia, Quinlan and Jillian Kipphut, all of Fair Haven nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Hancsarik in 1979; 3 brothers, Albert Markowski, John Markowski and Peter Markowski; 4 sisters, Jean Meagher, Stella Poremski, Frances Smolinski and Pauline Sutkowski.
There will be no public calling hours
Funeral services will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
The funeral services are under the direction of the Durfee funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Misty Heather Morn Community Care Home, PO Box 176, Hydeville, VT 05750.
