Randall C. Wortman

Randall C. "Randy" Wortman, born June 30, 1952, in Rutland, VT, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, after a sudden illness.
The son of Roberta "Betty" Liljeroth Wortman and the late Edmund P. Wortman, of Rutland, VT, he is survived by his mother, of Rutland; his wife, Kimberly Lindholme Wortman; a son, Brock Wortman and his wife, Iantha, of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Kara Wortman McKowan and her husband, Russ, of Plymouth, MA; a daughter, Kelsey Wortman and her wife, Angelique, of Rutland, VT; brother, Gayle Wortman and his fiancée, Gloria Zarotny, of Rutland Town; sisters Paula Piare Smith-Taylor, of Austin, TX, Penny Macfarlane, of Rutland, VT, and Kelly Lewis and her husband, David, of Poultney, VT; two stepdaughters Lindsay Lindholme and Stephanie Bourn; 10 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Randy graduated from Rutland High School in 1970 and retired from Graybar Electric in 2015. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, a hunter (Wortman Hunting Camp in Mount Holly, VT), and a member of the Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. He loved spending time with his family, golfing, going to camp and looking for that elusive buck.
The family wishes to thank our friends who helped out, especially Mary Dunnigan, and the nurses, physicians and staff of the Rutland Regional Medical Center for all their help, warmth and compassion during Randy's illness.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, in the Clifford Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home by Rev. Richard Tinney.
The family would appreciate donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Randall C. Wortman Memorial Fund at the TD Bank, 89 Merchants Row in Rutland, VT 05701, so a bench may be placed in his honor at the Proctor-Pittsford Country Club.
