Additional survivors include two sisters, Lucy Carey of Arkansas and Grace Jennings of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and he was also predeceased by two sisters, Viola Carey and Sarah Groesbeck, and three brothers, Kenny and Robert Groesbeck, and Wilbur Thurber.

I took care of Bill at Crescent Manor briefly, before I went to college, but worked there in dining after I was an LNA for a good 5 years. He always had great stories to share. I remember him saying he used to bobsled up in Barre, VT. It was always nice to see him sitting outside watching for hawks on a fall day.
