A. Mahoney Obituary

MAHONEY, A. Celeste
Born 5/7/59. At home and with full eyesight, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on 9/28/08. Preceded in death by her earthly father, George H. Mahoney. Survived by her mother, Roberta Mahoney, sister Rachael Mahoney, nephew Sean Mahoney-Stabile, niece Marisa Parson (Brandon), numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Celeste's life changed onto a new path after a brain tumor at 14, but her constant faithfulness and witness for the Lord continued on. She graduated McClatchy High School in 1977 and earned her AA at ARC in 1983. Anyone who came into Celeste's life was changed by her. She adored teaching children and for many years, volunteered to babysit. Celeste's presence will be a great loss to many, as she was a living testimony for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4th, 11am, at Warehouse Christian Ministries in Sacramento.

I worked with Celeste for many years at The Farmhouse back in the 1990's. We had such fun together. She was so sweet! SO kind and loving. She loved working with kids. I remember some yummy Pampered Chef parties at here house! RIP Celeste!

Celest was one of mine, TJ, and Amanda's best buddies. We shared many happy fun adventures and many hours of laughter together. We will miss her very much.

I Cried A Tear Today

I cried a tear today... for my friend, Celeste Mahoney
I am blessed to have had her for my friend, and friends we remained to the end.

For those who took the time to know her we were privileged to have known the fullness of her love, generosity, spontaneity, sense of humor, sense of adventure and her passion for living her life.

She openly shared her love of our Lord and taught many children in Sunday School here, one of which was my son, who still holds her dear. Celeste was an inspiration to all of us... without a doubt.

In life she bore much pain in so many ways but yet she could still love and smile. When I think of Her I'll always remember that infectious grin, that cute little giggle and that mischievous Irish twinkle in her eyes.

Celeste Mahoney was my friend and I loved her and I can say without reservation… that the world is a better place because she lived in it, loved in it and shared so much of herself with others in it.

Celeste was my friend and she will be missed!

Bertie, Rachel and Family - So sorry to hear of Celeste's passing onto glory, but that's where she wanted to be. With her beloved Dad...and her Lord Jesus Christ. We remember back many years as neighbors, that horrible news of her illness and surgery. We'll never forget waiting for the operation to be overwith at Travis. We were lucky to be with you at that time. We've been great friends for years, and thank you for that.

Much Love to you and your family.

Bert, Elna & our Family.

Dear Rachel and Roberta.... I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Celeste as being one of the most upbeat and kindest persons I've ever met. Rachel, if you need to talk, please call me. Love you both and take care.
