Ada Curtis Obituary


CURTIS, Ada May
Passed on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Mercy General Hospital, where she had once worked from 1954-1970 as an Emergency Room Nurse. Ada was born in Tiburon, California on February 25, 1935. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Larry Zenker of Wilton, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Laurie Marshall of Rio Linda, granddaughter, Brenda Kelly of Flagstaff Arizona, grandson, Steven Marshall of Rio Linda, nephew, John Fugua of Placerville and her cat, which she adored dearly, TC. Ada was an active square dancer in Sacramento for many years, and being an excellent seamstress, made all her and her partners square dance clothes for their dance events. Ada struggled with macular degeneration eye disease for the past 10 years disabling her sight to only 5%. However, she continued to crochet beautiful blankets and baby clothes, often winning ribbons at the California State Fair. A Celebration of Life pot luck will be held Saturday, February 26, 2005 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse of the Stadium Club Estate Mobile Park, 4200 El Centro Road, Sacramento, CA 95834 where Ada resided for 30 years. The family welcomes memories and stories to share.
