Alan Ferris Obituary
October 31, 1957 - March 7, 2023
Sacramento, California - Alan George Ferris was born October 31, 1957 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He died at his home in West Sacramento, CA on March 7, 2023.
He was a graduate of Grant Union High School, and a professional truck driver for more than 40 years. He was recently honored by his company with a three million mile safety award.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Dawson Ferris, his mother Lyla Ferris Hanson, his four sisters Laurie (Stan), Sharie (Ken), Lisa, Ruth (Albert), and his sister in law Serena (Don).
He was Uncle Alan to two generations of nephews and nieces, and fondly remembered by numerous cousins and friends. He was gentle with all of God's creation.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 13 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church in West Sacramento.

It was a pleasure meet you and I reconnecting with Alan at our last high school reunion. I was shocked to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. So sorry for your loss.

I worked with Alan at best way . I was an owner operator and he drove a company truck . You couldn´t ask for a better driver or person . I remember talking to central dispatch one night when we were leaving Sacramento and they wanted to talk to Alan when I got off the phone . Jim guys said can I talk to God and I said who he said Alan and I told him he was right . Alan was like a God . He will be missed . My condolences. Norm Butler

I´m so sorry to learn of Alan´s passing. I worked with him for years at TNT/USF Bestway. He was truely a kind and gentle man with never a bad thing to say about anyone and always a smile on his face. It was a privilege to know him. My condolences to his family
