Alex GOLDSCHNEIDER Obituary

GOLDSCHNEIDER, Alex
Was born on May 25, 1989, in Los Gatos, California. He died on March 4, 2011, on the campus of the University of California, Davis, where he was a junior. He moved to Lake of the Pines at age 10 and was a graduate of Bear River High School, where he played football for three years. He then attended Sierra College for two years before going to UC Davis to prepare for law school. Alex was an amazing and well loved son, brother, grandchild, cousin, uncle, and friend. He was intensely loyal and generous, loving his family and friends with his whole being. He was an outstanding swimmer and snowboarder, held a black belt in martial arts, and spent much time playing/composing music for piano and guitar. He enjoyed learning everything about everything. Alex had a bright present and future. He will be missed and loved forever. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at the clubhouse at Lake of the Pines.

Alex played football for Bear River with my son Andy. My husband and I often chatted with Alex's dad at the games. Also, Alex's brother tutored our younger son. Alex was fortunate to have such a loving and supportive family. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Alex seemed to have found the truth behind the words recorded at Acts 20:35 " It is more blessed to give than to receive". My heartfelt sympathies go out to the Goldschneider family. May you imitate Alex's wonderful qualities and draw strength from your fond memories. 1Peter 5:7 Almighty God careth for you.
