Allan Rutter Obituary

Allan Rutter

September 29, 1982 - August 18, 2023

Herald, California - Allan Scott Rutter, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023. Allan was born in Stockton, California on September 29, 1982. His family moved to Galt in 1992, and Allan graduated Galt High School in 2000. Allan spent the last 17 years working his way up to team manger at Apple in Elk Grove. He married Lacey Newhall on May 30, 2009 in Herald, California. They have two beautiful children, Jack and Lyla. We will miss his brilliant mind, great sense of humor, amazing cooking skills, loud voice, and epic dad jokes.

Allan is survived by his wife of 14 years Lacey; son Jack (11); daughter Lyla (9); parents, Dave and Kathy Rutter; sister, Laurie Rutter; as well as in-laws, Lance and Brenda Newhall, and brother-in-law, Trent Newhall; in addition to many dear friends and 50 hilarious chickens.

A celebration of life will be held at Champaign Ranch (12174 Borden Road) in Herald, California on Thursday, September 28 from 4-8pm in a casual, drop-in setting. A Mexican food truck will be serving up all of his favorites from 4:30-7:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations in Allan's honor to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Allan was such a kind, warm, and encouraging person in a workplace that can be often fast-paced and unrelenting. His absence is greatly felt and will be very much missed at Apple.
