VALENTINE, Alvin Savon
Dec. 20, 1993 - June 23, 2013 Beloved son of Latifa Lovies and Aaron Reid of Sacramento. Alvin graduated from Kennedy Senior High School in June 2012. While he was attending Kennedy he participated in various school activities. Alvin had a passion for sports. His smile & sense of humor will be greatly missed. Alvin leaves behind his loving parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, his loving and devoted godmother, a host of family, extended family and friends. Visitation on July 3, 2013 from 4-7pm for friends at Morgan Jones Chapel of Chimes, 4200 Broadway. Funeral July 5, 2013, 2pm at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 9000 La Riviera Dr. Interment private.

You are such a beautiful soul. Although I have never met her, I have the upmost respect for your mother for raising such a great young man. And I am so blessed to have had you in my life. I don't know why but sometimes I forget and still have this feeling that I'm going to see you or run into somewhere. Its so unreal.. But I know I will run into you in heaven and you'll greet me with the biggest best hugs just as you always did in the hallways of Kennedy. I miss you so much Alvin. I got a call at 9am the night after Alvin was found out to be in another place , my heart dropped , I just seen Alvin a few weeks prior at a kick back and he gave me a big hug and graced me with his big smile ! Alvin is apart of my family , and he was always a joy to be around the few times that I got to spend personal time with him.. My wish is that all the family is comforted and at peace soon.

I just learned that Alvin no longer graces the earth, and I am so sorry. I had the privilege of teaching Science to Alvin when he was in 8th grade at Edward Harris Middle School. Alvin was a gentleman, even in 8th grade! He loved life and he brightened up the world around him. Yes, he had a beautiful smile and a good heart. May his spirit comfort you.

As I sit and read all of the beautiful, from the heart, truthful, respectable and loving remarks...my eyes are filled with tears that are flowing like a river. I love you so much Mr.Alvin Saivon Valentine. You were more unique than your name. I remember the day you were born like the day you were taken away. It's been such a honor to be your mother for the 19yrs that God has allowed me to be. I will always love you, your beautiful white pearly smile and your sense of humor.

I had the pleasure of having Alvin in my PE class at EHMS...I'm heart broken for your loss. I remember his smile and his bigger than life personality. Middle school is a difficult time for many kids, but I can tell you Alvin was comfortable and assured of who he was. I'm great full that I had the opportunity to share a very brief period of Alvin's life. He was an amazing athlete and a genuine young man. I'm so sorry his life was cut short because I know he had such a bright future ahead of him. May you find peace in knowing that your son has touched so many during his lifetime.

Today I lost my butterfly, Someone made me lose my butterfly
His colors were unique, a design you never seen....Alvin was his name. You may of seen him some days, He would land on your shoulder & make you smile. His colors was so bright you couldn't help but see. Tiny butterfly given to me. I loved my butterfly & I didn't want him to leave but somebody took my butterfly from me. I want to remember my butterfly just the way he was color coded, flying high & landing where ever he pleased. But I am mad about my butterfly but Alvin would not want me to be. He was everyone's butterfly & now he can watch everyone at one time (just the way he would want it) for all eternity.
