She waited for her beloved brother John to see her. When she awoke to find him at her bed side, she slipped away with peace and contentment, showing us what loyalty and love really is. Survived by brothers Larry Almeida (Shirley) and John Almeida (Karen) and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving brother-in-law Robert Culp (LaRue) God-Daughter Julie Wheeler (Bryan). Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harry L. Culp. Preceded by her parents Manuel and Emily Almeida. Preceded by her sisters, Mary Jewett, Olive Borges and brother Manuel Almeida. Ann was born in Sacramento and lived her 86 years in Sacramento but traveled to many locations including Portugal her parents birth place. Of all her journeys, her favorite destination was in the stands of a baseball game or swim meet watching her grandsons compete. Ann worked as a supervisor in the Data Processing Unit for the Department of Water Resources for 35 years. After her retirement she worked as a consultant for the State. My thoughts, prayers, and memories are with the Culp family. My younger sister and I had the opportunity to be around this great woman for most of our lives. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile will be missed.

Their are no words to express what a great loss this. Ann was such a pleasure to see not only as a patient but as friend. She always lit up the waiting room when she came into the office and cheerful would be an understatement. Its been a pleasure to call her my friend and may God Bless her family during this time of need. Until we meet again. Your favorite nurse Lorilou @ Dr. Youngers office

I was a co-worker of Ann's for many years. We always had such a good time at work! Please accept my condolences to your family. She was indeed a great lady and though I hadn't seen her for quite some time, she was and will always be remembered fondly.
