Anthony Perez Obituary
September 7, 1953 - February 15, 2023
El Dorado Hills, California - On the morning of February 15th 2023, Anthony Martin Perez, Jr. passed away after a very hard fight with brain cancer. He died at the age of 69 and will leave behind 3 daughters, his brother, sister, parents, and many other cousins and friends. Anthony was born to Anthony Perez Sr. and Alice Perez in San Francisco, CA. His family relocated to the greater Sacramento area when he was in elementary school. After being a highly celebrated baseball player in high school, Anthony went on to CSUS and graduated with a bachelors in pre-law and worked for CalTrans for a few years before entering McGeorge School of Law. He was very passionate about civil rights, and decided to specialize in employment law where he found the greatest impact. Throughout the course of his almost 40-year career as an attorney, he was able to affect so many people's lives with his work. His 3 daughters shared a very close relationship with their dad, and he encouraged them to have tremendous successes of their own. Anthony had a unique zest for food and travel, and in his free time enjoys shared experiences with friends and family. He wrote the book Second Wind and was able to complete the Mayor's Midnight Marathon in Anchorage, AK. Above all else, Anthony will be remembered as a kind, giving and supportive father with a contagious sense of humor and enormous personality. A private ceremony will be held to celebrate the life of Anthony Perez Jr.

I worked for Tony part-time. I considered him a mentor. I learned many trial lawyer skills from him that I rely on today. He was a good guy. Sad to hear he´s passed.

I was sad to see Tony honored at the Longhorn Classic last Saturday. I had no idea he left us. He was a great shortstop at La Sierra, with a lot of pop in his bat. My condolences to all family and friends.

Tony was a family friend we haven't seen in many years! So many great memories going to the Tahoe Cabin! He will always be Uncle Tony to the Brown Family kids from Reno/Sparks!! So Sorry for your loss.
