(1925-2007) Longtime Sacramento resident passed away on August 22, 2007, in Tacoma, Wash. She was 82 years of age. Audrey was born in San Luis Obispo, Calif., in 1925. Her parents were Joseph and Pearl Athearn of Colusa. She graduated from Colusa High School and moved to Sacramento, where she met and married husband Chester Holt. Audrey is survived by sons Robert and William Holt of Gig Harbor, Wash., and daughter Linda Bornman of Forest Hill, Calif. Audrey was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Charles and loving brother Robert Athearn of Stockton, Calif. She is survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Audrey is also lovingly remembered by three Athearn nephews, Frank, Rob and Rolph, and their mother Leona Athearn. Audrey and her husband Chester were the owner and operators of numerous restaurants, taverns and most notably the Auburn Hotel. She spent 27 years in business before retiring. Audrey was a past member of Soroptimist, Crystal Chapter #57 Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women and the Womens Forum all of Auburn, Calif. She will be remembered as a loving Mom and good business woman. Viewing will be at Andrews and Greilich Mortuary, 3939 Fruitridge Road, on September 11 from 11:00 AM-12:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at Andrews & Greilich, 3939 Fruitridge, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Remembrances may be sent to Easter Seal Society or charity of choice.
