August Revering Obituary
February 14, 1929 - September 18, 2022
Carmichael, California - August Joseph "Bud" Revering passed away peacefully on September 18th, into the arms of our Lord, while resting at home in his favorite recliner. Bud was born on February 14, 1929, in Sacramento. He would spend nearly all 93 years in the area, with the notable exception of his time in the Navy and Army, where he was stationed in Virginia, North Africa and Germany, among other places. He married Mary Rose in 1956 and was employed as a sheet metal worker at McClellan AFB from 1958 until his retirement. Since retiring in 1984, he loved going to mass, gardening, playing cards and games with his family, traveling with his wife, a fire every morning in the family room, and his numerous carpentry projects including dressers, entertainment centers, room additions, and toys for his grandchildren. A loving husband , special father, and devoted Catholic, Bud is survived by his children Steven and Gerald Revering, Sharon Carlson (Dave) and Tricia Franzblau (Cara); grandchildren Merissa Ramoz (Antonio), Brandon and Eric Revering, Matthew and Chad Carlson, Lauren Zuk (Mike), Emma and Max Franzblau; and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Rose (Kavaloski) Revering, son James Joseph Revering, parents August Frank and Catherine (Heembrock) Revering, and nine siblings: Arthur, Sr. Irene, Jerome, David, Louise, Anna, Johnnie, Mary (Guenther) and Catherine (Snellings) Revering.
The funeral will be held on Sat., Oct. 15th at St. John the Evangelist, 5751 Locust Ave, Carmichael - 10:30am Rosary, 11am Mass, reception to follow.
