B. DeMarco-Baker-Williams Obituary

Beatrice Jacqueline 'Jackie' DeMarco - Baker - Williams, completed her time on earth, spanning 94 years, 2 months and 16 days. She was born in Hickory Point, Tennessee to Robert Jones and Geneva Thompson. Jackie came to California with her brother when she was just a teenager, so he could look after her. She met a sailor named Glen and they were married in 1948, settling in Placerville, CA. In 1950, they welcomed their daughter Terrie, and then Glenda in 1951. Jackie was so proud to be the Queen of the Wheel Barrel Races when Glen won in 1953 and 1954. They moved the family to Sacramento and welcomed Julie in 1958. Then moved a few blocks away to a larger home in Carmichael, where she still lived.

They divorced in 1964. Jackie went from housewife to a single working mother, after going to business school for a year. Jackie did some modeling for I. Magnum's and even opened up her own fitness center, called 'JFK'S', Jacqueline's Fitness Korner located off Madison Avenue, which was a big hit! Jackie raised her three girls by herself, while working full time as the Admitting Supervisor for American River Hospital for 25 years until retiring in 1992.

Jackie soon met her true love, Tom DeMarco. A musician and nightclub owner of the hottest dance spot in Sacramento, called 'Fromas'. After many years of courtship, they happily married, only to have Tom pass away shortly thereafter.

Many years later, Jackie met Robert Williams, another musician, law enforcement officer, pilot and instructor. They married when they were both 70 years old and spent many fulfilling years together before his passing.

Jackie was proud to have been involved as a Eucharist Minister and the Vice President of the Women's Council at her church. She was also the past president of the 20-30 Club, volunteering to Feed the Hungry, working with the Red Cross, Brownies, Girl Scouts, PTA and on the Board of Directors at Eskaton. She loved gardening, golf and classic cars.

Jackie was a very independent and unforgettable woman with a personality that was stylish, opinionated and fiercely devoted to her family. Jackie's long life allowed her to be the missing parents to almost all of her nieces and nephews. Aunt Boo, as they called her, could keep you in line, love you totally and always be there for you. She will be missed by so many.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Terrie (Carmichael), Glenda (Steve, Loomis), Julie ( Citrus Heights); 5 grandchildren - Michael, Lisa, Tiffany, Jaclyn and Timmy; 5 great-grandchildren - Kaya, Cody, Madison, Dallas and Wren; and 1 great-great grandchild - Quincy.
