Barbara VESELY Obituary

VESELY, Barbara Ann
Passed away on Thursday February 2 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born on June 16, 1930 in Steubenville, Ohio. Her parents were Otto and Zara Jackson. At a young age Barbara's family moved to Portland, Oregon where she attended Grant High School. Later she moved to Monterey, California where she worked at the Naval Post Graduate School.

Barbara worked at Sylvania/GTE in Mt. View California for nearly 30 years before retiring. Her passion was her family. Upon Retiring, Barbara and her husband Norman moved to El Dorado, California where they both volunteered at the Gold Bug Mine in Placerville. Many great friendships were made during those days at the Gold Mine.

Barbara passed away in her beautiful home in the mountains. She was lovingly cared for by her children and her amazing grandsons all the way to the end of her life. She continues to teach us about family and the strength of it. We will miss her forever.

Barbara is survived by her sons Craig, Mike and Jeff, as well as her daughters Karen, Donna and Ann. Barbara dearly loved her 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Barbara always loved the beach. She asked that her ashes be spread at sea and that no formal services be conducted.
