It takes awhile for me to catch up on events!
I met Bea when I was 4 years old.
The Foulks lived across the street, right next to Elmer Harold of Harold Ford. When Ford Thunderbirds first came out, I remember Carolyn expressed to her father that it seemed unfair to her that his new tractor costs twice as much as the T Bird she wanted. Made sense to me.
I was frequently in their home and back yard. It was a lively place and the girls had quite a bit of latitude. Excellent swing set that preceded the terrific swimming pool.
Always welcome at their home and quite a few of us took advantage of it. George was relatively quiet but was likely to burst in our front door with a BIG arm load of corn on the cob or whatever ranch produce was in season.
Bea and George were dedicated cocktail people, and greatly appreciated by my parents.
George and his cousin made Port Wine. They gave my parents a bottle. My mom gave me the unopened bottle about 20 years later. My first Port and I became a bit of an aficionado.
Bea always treated me like a young man and I would like to think she would be proud for me today, at age 75. Bless you Bea!
Love you girls!

Bea was a wonderful neighbor, a superb cocktail companion, a great and funny history and story teller, so loved by her family. If I had not already moved from A Street, I would have to now as I would miss her so much. June
