Benito Troy "Benny" Estacio

Benito Estacio Obituary

ESTACIO, Benito
''Benny'' Troy
Born Oct. 13, 1937 in Westwood, Lassen County, Calif. to immigrant parents, Antonio and Petra Estacio of Spain, went home to be with Jesus his Lord and Savior Dec. 18, 2005, after a well-fought battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family to the end when God brought him home. On that rainy, cloudy day, God sent a single, beautiful ray of sunlight through the window of Benny's hospital room where it illuminated his face as he took his last earthly breath before joining his heavenly Father. Benny will be missed by his wife of 46 years, Fran, their four children: Carrie Rawles (husband, Scott), Mindy Apperson (husband, Rocky), Tina DeLange (husband, Dave) and Troy Estacio (wife, Ann), his nine grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, and Spencer Rawles, Ashleigh and Keleigh Apperson, Ben and Samantha Estacio, and Daniel and Samuel DeLange. He also leaves his beloved brother, Pete Estacio (wife, Sandy) and sisters, Lol Laird (husband, Art) and Grace Massa (husband, Tony) and many other family members and friends. Family was the most important thing in Benny's life and he made sure that everyone was together for all holidays and birthdays and for many wonderful family vacations. Benny wore many different hats in his 68 years, from teacher, butcher and pet-supply store owner, to the Army, real estate developer and world traveler. He will be missed immensely by the many people whose lives he has touched over the years. A memorial service celebrating Benny's incredible life will be held Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 6365 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay, Calif. A reception will follow at Lew Howard Memorial Park, Baldwin Dam Road, Folsom. Remembrances may be made in Benny's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection Building Fund - (916) 791-4661. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home.

There must have been more than 1,000 people at Benny’s memorial service, a wonderful tribute to the man who loved the Lord, his family and his friends. We’ve known him since 7th grade in San Leandro and as neighbors in Folsom, and he was a dear, true friend. We will miss him.

Benny, you have fought the "good fight" and now God holds you securely in His everlasting arms. When we were each fighting the battle last summer your's and Fran's support and encouragement meant so much to us as you prayed for us and sent uplifting messages.

We will see you again.

Much love and prayers to the Estacio family.

Our prayers go out to the Estacio families. Our memory of Benny would be meeting the whole Estacio family and feeling their love, many years ago at Troy and Ann's wedding. It's one of our happiest memories! Love, The Kosloff Family

Fran and the Estacio Family,

My prayers are with you and your family right now. Benny was an exceptional individual. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. In recent years, our paths have not crossed as much as when I was young, but I remember him so well, energetic, full of life and always smiling. Benny will always be remembered with great love by myself and my family.

Always,

Benny was one of those men that as a boy growing up, you looked up to him as a beacon of manhood. He showed me and our gang how a man should act, how to respect women and your elders and how to conduct yourself in public. I haven't seen Benny for a year or two and I am deeply saddened that I wont get to see him, talk to him, hear his wisdom again. Shine on Benny! I'll remember your guiding hand forever.
