Benjamin de la TORRE Obituary
de la TORRE, Benjamin
Went to Heaven on March 30, 2010. Born on May 24, 1991, he was born and raised in Sacramento, Calif. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents Guillermo and Yolanda, his brother and sister Gabriel and Sara and his grandparents Dionicio and Juliana Gomez. He will also be remembered by numerous aunts uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. Ben was a 2009 graduate of Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif., and was attending Consumnes River College at the time of his passing. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them and his many friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., and a Rosary will be held on Monday evening at 6 p.m., at GEORGE L. KLUMPP CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 2691 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. A funeral mass in Ben's honor will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 9539 Racquet Ct., Elk Grove, Calif. Burial will follow mass at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento.

Yolanda, Memo and family,
I know it's been over a month since Ben has passed, but I wanted to share a memory of Ben with you. Thomas (my middle child) related how Ben was his assigned "partner" and would hold Thomas' hand to walk to Sacred Heart Church. Thomas remebers Ben as "cool" and "a real nice guy" when they walked to/from the church. Ben touched so many persons with his beautiful personality and will always be fondly remembered by the Lopez Family.

Ben this is Dad, we miss you greatly and you will always be in our hearts. Your a great son, never a bad or troubled day. I was so proud of you after your HS graduation I knew you would be successful in what ever you decided to do with your life. I miss your smile, your laugh, I love you and think of you every day. Dad

Ben could not have been more cherished and loved than he was by his family and friends. I watched from afar as he grew from a gangly, shy little boy to a handsome, sensitive man. Though his life was too short, he touched so many hearts and leaves an empty space that will eventually fill with happy and loving memories. Yolanda, Memo, Gabe, and Sara, I am holding you close to my heart at this incredibly difficult time.
