BAKER, Billy ''Gunn''
May 19, 1951 - July 2, 2009
Billy ''Gunn'' Baker passed away quietly after a long illness on July 2, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter ''Sun'' Baker and Hattie Edding Buford. Survived by his loving wife Vivian Richardson-Baker, daughter Sonya Thomas Baker, brothers Levi Eddings Jr. and Anthony Works, and sisters Dorothy Granderson, Olivia Arnell, and Della Baker Nance. Billy helped raise his niece Delara Nance and is also survived by his grandchildren Amir Salam Mumuhammed and Daijanique Williams, and also his longtime friend Linda Bryce. He will be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Billy Gunn was a longtime resident of Oak Park and was well known and loved by many. Friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., both at MORGAN JONES CHAPEL OF CHIMES, 4200 Broadway. Repass at VFW on Stockton Blvd. Family gathering at 2212 18th Ave. Interment private.

WAS A LOVING FATHER/GRANDFATHER TO MY FAMILY AND OUR CHILDREN.
THE 20 + YEARS THAT WAS SPENT WITH MR. BILLY GUNN BAKER WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF THE BRICE/ BROOKS/ HUNTZINGER/ SHELLS/ WILKERSON FAMILY. HE WAS LOVED BY ALL AND WILL BE VERY MUCH MISSED FROM OUR LIVES.
