Bobby Barker Obituary
U.S. Army
Age 26, passed away December 3, 2005 as the result of an accident. Sgt. Barker was a native of Dallas, TX. He was the son of Mr. Bobby Ray Barker and Mrs. Kathryn "Kathy" Jordan Mitchell. Sgt. Barker was on active duty in the U.S. Army. He had recently returned to Ft. Bragg, NC on leave after being injured in Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Chief M/Sgt. Frank C. Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Bailey Barker; sons, Jordan & Ryan Barker and daughter, Shannon Barker, all of Fayetteville, NC; mother, Kathy Mitchell of Douglasville, GA; father, Bobby Barker of Dallax, TX; and maternal grandmother, Doris Jordan of Yatesville, GA. Funeral service will be Friday, 12/9 at 2pm at Barnesville Presbyterian Church, Barnesville, GA. Interment Lamar Memory Gardens, Barnesville, GA. Those who wish may view and sign the guest book at www. williamsfh.net. Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville is in charge of arrangements. 770-358-1678.

Hey buddy, it´s been a while since I´ve been on here but I think about you every day. I´ve been busy working on cars and I love it. Jordan does too. I think I´m gonna come see you this weekend I´m sorry I didn´t get a chance to yesterday. Shannon´s about to be a senior in college. I´m not sure what she´s gonna do when she´s done but I know she´s gonna do great. I know you´re proud of all of us and I know you´re always looking after us. I love you buddy.

Hey daddy, tomorrow would've been your 44th birthday if I'm not mistaken. I wish we could've spent a few more birthdays with you before you left. I suddenly started thinking about you today and I remembered that it had been years since I visited this site. I'm in college now studying art and Ryan's doing great in college too. A while ago he called saying he had a 4.0 gpa and was on either the dean's list or president's list, he wasn't sure which. I was so happy and proud to hear how well he's doing and I think you would be too. Momma's great too, she has a job right now and dad's really supportive of it and he's probably my number one supporter for my pursuit of art. I hope you're doing well up there and I know that even though you can't be here you're glad that we're able to be happy living full lives. Happy early birthday daddy, I wish we could spend it with you.

Hey, I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. I really miss you. I’m in college and I know you would be proud of me. We all miss you and I wish that I could spend just one day with you and get to know you. It’s really weird that me and Jordan are almost as old as you were... we really miss you. Shannon is doing pretty good. It’s weird to think that she will be starting college in a year. I really think she will go a long way in life.

BJ (Bobby) was my little partner in crime and not to mention the closest thing to an annoying little brother as I ever got! We were so much alike, a part of me went with him when he left. I want Annika and Shannon to grow up to be good friends and the legacy can continue! I love you BJ.
