I am sorry to say that I only heard of Brian's passing when he didn't show up to our Bishop Armstrong class of '64 reunion last evening. Brian was a wonderful man with a great heart, and his going leaves a big whole in the fabric of our lives. Go with God, Brian. See you on the other side.

Nancy; It is so sad to lose Brian at such a young age (from the viewpoint of the Ancient Mariners). I had the pleasure of crewing for Brian on 4 separate sailing adventures. The first was before he bought Sea Angel when we flew to San Diego crossing the border to Ensenada, Baha California to bring a 43 foot boat to San Francisco. We encountered a number of mechanical issues which Brian dealt with in good humor. He had the ability to lead a crew making each feel important and wanting to do whatever was needed by Brian. With his keen intellect he was always a step ahead of the rest of us. His Spanish skill was evident on each of the trips. I will miss his ready laugh, knowledge on many subjects, and most of all his friendship.

Dear Nancy, Katie, Lawrence, Nick and rest of the family, Our thoughts are with you. Brian, Bigger than Life, will be missed by all. He added joy to every encounter and every occasion. I enjoyed knowing Brian through Leonard for many years, and remember so vividly Jost Van Dyke, skiing at Sugar Bowl and getting lost with Katie in the "back country." Pete was lucky to have sailed not too long ago with Brian and being included on the annual guys trip to the Rockies. How lucky we all were to have known this man that lived the epitome of a life well lived. We hope those memories will sustain you through this tough time.

Brian was a pleasure to know. I worked with him at the Parole Board then known as the Adult Authority in the, then fairly new, Twin Tower Buildings downtown. He was always so positive and friendly.
