Bruce Clark Obituary

Bruce Wayne Clark

March 12, 1949 - March 18, 2024

Elk Grove, California - Bruce Wayne Clark (Batman), age 75, a long time resident of Elk Grove California, died on March 18, 2024 in Sacramento. He was born on March 12,1949 in East Liverpool, Ohio. Son of the late Virgil and Edith Clark. Survived by his loving wife of 53 + years, Carol Trapasso Clark, three daughters - Nadina Rivera (Silvio Sr.), Michelle Haydel (Donald Jr.), and Kelley Moore (Christopher). Grandfather to 6 - Clark, Kayla, Sierra, Isabella, Jaxson, Everett. Brother to Ruth Ann Kesti (William), Lee Clark, Lita Himes (Michael). Brother-in-law to Peter Trapasso, Lucille Haire, Theresa Gray (Thomas) and Trisha Trapasso as well as many treasured nieces, nephew's, and Godchildren. Preceded in death by brother Jess Clark, brother-in-law Caesar Trapasso Jr. and Belinda Trapasso.

His family moved to North Highlands, California in 1960 where he graduated from Highlands high school Class of 1968, lettering in football. He was known as "Batman" because his mom named him "Bruce Wayne" (purposely) but also had a little Superman in him because his last name was "Clark". He was an Eagle Scout and very proud decorated Veteran, who served his country during the Vietnam Conflict as an airman with the Elite 101st Airborne Division. He was a helicopter mechanic, crewchief, and door gunner. He received various commendations, including multiple air medals during his 9 years of military service. He worked at Patterson Aircraft, and then at Unocal Chemical Division for over 23 years in their fertilizer division, finishing his career with Agrium/URS working on the government superfund project to test the ground water at McClellan Airbase. He loved playing cards (especially poker), was an avid bowler, a golfer, and a classic car enthusiast, who earned multiple trophies for his cars and truck. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the 101st Airborne Association.

We truly can say Bruce had no enemies, He was a kind, compassionate, humorous man with an infectious smile. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Heaven has gained another Angel who will be watching over all of those who loved him dearly. Thank you for the memories "Mr. C.", our very own Batman.
