Bud MORRIS Obituary

MORRIS, Bud
Bud Morris passed away peacefully early Sunday morning in the arms of his most loved wife and his adoring daughter. Bud, born February 1, 1930, Julian Eugene Morris, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of pioneers and founders of the Territory of New Mexico. He was a man who loved fast cars, beautiful boats, and high flying air planes, an icon of the automobile business and the man who brought auto finance to Sacramento in 1964.
He loved golf, scuba diving, taking day trips or just sitting around the pool with family and friends. The nicest, sweetest and loving man any one ever knew, was the devoted husband of Arlene, his late wife and mother of his two children, Julianne and Scott.
In 1994, after being a widower for eleven years, Bud met Doris Pittell and their love story is what fairytales are made from. Bud and Doris gave each other the most perfect world each could give and their love extended to their children and grandchildren. Their cirlce of families and friends grew to include all who came in their midst. Bud was the perfect husband, father and grandfather, and brother. His loss is immeasurable. He leaves to honor his memory, his wife, Doris; his children, Julianne Morris and Ray Carpenter, Dianna and Scott Morris, and Lainie and Gregg Josephson; his idolized grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha and Ellie in Sacramento, and Jeff, Nick and Jenny of Grants Pass, OR. His brother Bob and his sister in law Tonie, predeceased him; he leaves his most loving brother Ray of Morgan Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
Doris and Julie thank Dr. William Pevec and Dr. Jason Rogers for their tireless devotion, and to Dr. Sandra Martin, who always went above and beyond.
The family welcomes you to join them at Home of Peace Cemetery, Tuesday, September 25th at noon for chapel and graveside services. For those wishing to make a donation please honor Bud's memory with a gift to the Weinberg Godparent Fund or the Building Fund of Congregation B'nai Israel, where Bud found a new home and a new avocation. To honor his love for his wife and family, give each other an extra hug and kiss. Arrangements by Lombard & Co., Funeral Directors.

I had the good fortune of sitting next to Bud at dialysis. It is honestly the only thing I looked forward to when I would have to make the trip to the clinic. Today the nurses told me Bud had passed away; I spent the entire time looking at his empty chair, remembering him and all of his great stories. He loved his wife and family so deeply, it was inspiring. We loved to talk about books and he was always curious about what I was reading. Bud never complained even when I could tell he was not feeling well. He never missed an opportunity to express his gratitude and appreciation to the staff and took great pains to help me buy the “right” used car for my college –aged son this summer. Dialysis is a tough road and my journey has become more difficult with Bud's passing. I am so grateful they put us next to each other—I know I am a better person because of Bud. Your family will be in my thoughts.

My dear, sweet, friend, Doris lost the love of her life. I know you can hear me Bud...thank you for loving her in life as I know you still do in death. She always beamed when she was with you and that beam will come back in time. God bless you, dear, sweet Bud.
