Campbell McKeag Obituary

Campbell Ann McKeag

May 19, 1965 - August 7, 2024

Carmichael, California - Campbell was born in Berkeley, CA to her parents, Farrell Ann and Keith McKeag. The family moved to Sacramento when she was a toddler, and she lived the remainder of her life in Sacramento, Davis, and Carmichael. She attended Rio Americano High School and UC Santa Cruz. She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years, most recently in fraud detection for Tri Counties Bank. She loved Lake Tahoe, her cats and her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Farrell McKeag; her aunt, Patsy O'Mara; and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Don Morris; her father and stepmother, Keith and Jane McKeag; her sister, Ryan; her stepsister, Betsy; her aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. A private family celebration of life will be held in Lake Tahoe at a later date. If desired, Campbell would be honored if people donated to the League to Save Lake Tahoe or the charity of your choice.

Campbell and I worked together as lifeguards for the City of Sacramento back in the early 1980s. She was a joy to work with and be around! RIP Campell!!!

This news hits me hard and with so much sadness. Campbell was my best friend in elementary through to high school and was a bridesmaid in my wedding. I spend so much time at her house, I felt at times part of the extended family, her mom was like a second mom to me, and Ryan the little sister I didn´t have. Over time, we grew distant and I had always hoped we would find a time to reconnect and relive so many fond memories and shenanigans of those times. We spent endless hours at swim practice together, and when she hung it up, she was my connection to school life and a small social circle we built up, and she always made sure to include me. She was a good, kind, and supportive friend. And so smart, witty and fun to be around. We should all be so lucky to have had a friend like her. I will miss her. Condolences to her family and sister Ryan, truly a great loss. Their cabin in Lake Tahoe was such a gem, in my mind, I will imagine that she is there with her mom, as they both loved that place and the amazing view of the peaceful, blue water. I have gone there over the years when visiting the lake just to reminisce and will continue to think of her in her happy place. Rest in peace Campbell, you are still in my heart.
