Champ was among the most genuine men I’ve ever known. Trustworthy, compassionate, and a true “neighbor” to those who knew him. He was great because he had a servant’s heart. Everyone who came in contact with him found a simple faith that wasn’t afraid of mountains. God bless you Champ. And blessings on those grieving this loss.

I am honored to have known Champ Overholt.
He was a dear friend and and a precious man of God.
He was a kind and compassionate man, a true gentleman.
So in love with Jesus. He had a very keen and sharp mind and loved to talk about Bible and the Lord. We could talk for hours about the goodness of God !
Champ and I went to alot of the same meetings, over the past 7 years, and we became quick friends.
We kept in touch over the internet and phone during the past 2 years, as he did not get out much.
He would ask me to pray for his health and for his family. He was a prayer warrior and would constantly keep me and my family in prayer. I am a better person for knowing Champ.
I am blessed to have talked with Champ before he passed away.
I was able to tell him that I loved him ...and that I would rally the troops to pray for him !
I know that we all wanted Champ to stay a little longer, but God needed him more. I cannot wait to see him again, with a perfect glorified body, no longer suffering, no longer in pain. I cannot wait to hear all the stories he has to tell about Heaven and about living in the palace with the King!
I know that God touched many lives through Champ. And I know that Champ would want you to reach out and touch someone else , even it if is just one person, with the Love of God .
I know that the Lord is saying to Champ " Well done my good and faithful servant."
Champ, You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race .....
I love you my friend, and I will see you again in Glory !
Your Friend

To the Family of Champ Overholt,
I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Champ. I had the pleasure of working with Champ at the Department of Consumer Affairs, beginning in 1990 until he retired. He was my first Manager at DCA and was responsible for hiring me. I will always be grateful that he gave me a chance to start a new career at DCA, upon leaving DMV after 8 years. He always offered compassion and was such a kind and giving person. He always encouraged me to expand my career opportunities and was instrumental in promoting me in the work place. May God Bless him and may he rest in peace. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
