I still can't believe Charlie is gone. It's been two years and yet, every time I pass his former corner location at Madison and Auburn, or his TruckStop stores, memories of his smile and genuine laugh come flooding back. We miss you Charlie. Your spirit will live forever in our hearts. RIP dear friend.

I was totally shocked to read in this mornings paper of Charlies passing. I had no idea he's been gone since the 18th. Charlie was so kind and generous to me through the years. We met while he was working for Filco and our friendship blossomed when he started his own business and set me up as his advertising agency. His gentle manner and great business sense, made his mentoring of my business something I will cherish forever. Rest in peace my good friend. I will always remember you fondly and with great respect and admiration.
