People like Charlie and Marjorie will never be forgotten.I had the privilege of being their neighbor for 24 years.Charlie reminded me a lot like my dad who was born in 1924.One time after my dad retired he came over and mowed my lawn.Later that day Charlie asked"who was that guy" he had never saw anyone who walked that fast pushing a power mower. We had a good laugh about that. That was just the work ethic of that generation.

Charlie was always a class act.I was priveledged to witness his hole in one at Haggin oaks golf course. After playing for 59 years I have only had one myself. He reminded me very much of my own father who was born in 1924.I'am convinced that generation had to earn everything the y had in life, and were able to pass on there values to there children and that is the true treasures of a legacy.

I also remembered golfing with chuck at haggin oaks golf course when he made a hole in one on a 125 yard hole.I was very surprised because I had been golfing for around 25 years up to that point and had never made one or personally witnessed one, needless to say it was a very special occasion. He also had a great short game due to his diligent practice time in his backyard. All my memories of chuck are positive and always bring a smile to my face.

I was fortunate to live next door to Chuck for twenty three years and shared many good times with him and his beautiful wife Marjorie. We played golf and worked on home projects together. He had a great work ethic and a good sense of humor as well as strong family values. He reminded me a lot of my own father. They are the best neighbors I have ever had and both will be remembered fondly as long as I live.

In the late 50's growing up usually meant you knew your neighbors. I was fortunate enough to live next door to the Jamieson family. At the helm was the Dad, Charles . Most people called him Chuck but Mrs. Jamieson, being from the South, make sure that we always addressed them as Mr. & Mrs. First names were not permitted if you were a polite child. On this day some 60 years later I offer my condolences to the family of Mr. Jamieson. Frank, Bob and Lynn, your Dad was an example of a strong work ethic , of responsibility and of the ability to mix discipline with fun. His love of track and field was a good example. I remember being afraid of his stern way back in the neighborhood days but as an adult I enjoyed his wit and sense of humor on a much different level. Farewell Mr. Jamieson and Thanks for the lessons learned.
