Charles Carson Langley

1921 - 2016

Born November 26, 1921 - Died December 7, 2016 Charles Carson Langley "Chuck", 95, of West Sacramento, California, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 7, 2016. He graduated from high school in Atascadero, CA and was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corp at Iwo Jima. He worked for almost 40 years in the automobile body repair industry and was a partner at S & E Body Shop in Sacramento. He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an avid golfer and played from 14 years of age up until the age 88. He was married for 68 years and is survived by his loving wife, Emma Jean (Appuhn) Langley. He is also survived by his children David (Linda) Langley; Cynthia (William) Petty; James Langley; Donna (James) Elmore; and Glenn Langley. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren Carson and Scott Langley; William Jr. and Jason Petty; Andrea (Petty) Rodriguez and Alissa (Petty) Melton; James II., Johnathan and Cynthia Elmore; and by his nine great-grand-children Luke, Jack, Noah, Seth and Anna Melton; Eli and Isla Rodriguez; and Jonah and Katie Elmore. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Langley, his brothers, Robert and George Langley and his sister, Dorothy Ewing. Memorial service to be held at The First Baptist Church, 1511 Delaware Ave., West Sacramento on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:30 am. Cremation Services provided by River Cities Funeral Chapel.
