Chris Garcia Obituary
Chris Lago Garcia of Elk Grove, Calif., born on February 19, 1926, in Union City, Calif., passed on August 14, 2006, in Sacramento, Calif. Chris was retired Supervisor of the High School Facilities, Washington High School Fremont Unified School District where he was employed for 27 years, 45-year member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, Washington Chapter #169, 19-year member of the American Legion Post #787 of West Point, Calaveras County. Served as President, Loan Officer and Board of Director for SESAC School Employees Alameda County Credit Union for over 25 years, FUSD. Chris was preceded in death by his brother Joseph of Fremont. Chris is the loving and adored husband of Alice Evon Garcia for 59 years. Beloved father/father-in-law of Ronall W. and Catherine L. Garcia, Sandra L. Lawson, Joy S. and Ray N. Clarke, Kathleen A. Garcia and Jeanne Marie Castro. Grandfather of Chaad C. and Noel P. Garcia, Nikkii Diane and Daniel Brown, Robbie Michael and Catherine Castro and Rikki Castro Jr. Great-grandfather of Crystal Rae Garcia. Brother of Thomas of San Diego and John of Washington, Mary Safreno of Pleasanton, Betty (Isabel) Soito of Livermore and Eleanor Conklin of Castro Valley. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Chris's Life on Saturday, August 19, at 11:00 AM at SOUTH EAST LAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, Calif. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Parkinson Association of Northern California, Fulton Ave., Suite 100-5 Sacramento, CA 95825-4502.
