Scott, Karen, Alex ---
I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Through all these posts and photos, he reminds me of a young boy I knew at Mitchel Field base in. NY so long ago... That is you, Scott--- I remember your infectious smile and pleasant personality--- bounding those steps with your black lab, Abby, was it? It is an unbelievable heartbreak, your son, yours and Karen's and a brother to Alex. I am grateful you had him, loved him and he apparently touched so many lives in his short but meaningful life. And Scott, you will always love and remember him, and if he was anything like I remember you, what an awesome young man and full of light just like I remember his dad to be.... Best to you, your family, Art, Betty, John, Anna Banana and Sue. May he RIP and watch over you always, need anything do not hesitate even from this distance

Dear Karen, Alex and Scott,
Dylan and I love you all so very much. Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Chris was such a intricle part of Dylan's transition when we moved back to Folsom in 2007. Chris walked up to Dylan on the first day of high at Vista Del Lago and said, "Dylan, remember me, we used to go to he same daycare?" Chris introduced Dylan to Patrick, Robbie, Rory, Paul, and many others that day. In my opinion, the most extraordinary thing about our boys is that although they are all so very different, together they form a bond unlike any I have ever seen. Each with their own strengths, Chris was the glue, the nurturer, the one that made them lighten up and laugh, when things were difficult. Dylan's wardrobe was often filled with unfamiliar bright, neon sweatshirts and colorful blue or red sneakers which all of our boys shared via Chris. Chris was a bright light and will continue to live inside of all of us. know, that although I can not comprehend your loss, the people Chris touched along the way, lost a friend, a brother, a neighbor, a boyfriend, nephew, student and a young man that I personally loved as one of my sons, through proxy...
Wishing you endless amounts of love... Kori XO

Dear Karen and Scott, We used to live on Keller Circle and Chelsea just came home from school today and told me about your loss. I am so very, very sorry and saddened. Chelsea says he was always nice to her and said hi whenever they saw each other. I will pray for you and your family. I realize you will never be free of grief, but I will pray for it to ease. We will always remember Chris for the way he dove into life and did everything at 110%. We knew Chris when he was younger - we left Keller Circle for Wisconsin 9 years ago - and have many, many fond memories of all the Widders and the way they opened their lives to us. Chris was a bright light in our lives then, always dashing to play sports, see friends, and enjoy family times. Our hearts ache for Chris' family and friends. He is lost too young, too soon. We hold those who suffer so from his passing in our prayers.

I am at a loss for words. Watching Chris grow up since he was five, it is hard to comprehend that he is not here anymore. My boys thought he was the absolute coolest guy ever...they loved his shoes, his hats, and his skinny jeans. On more than one occasion we had to go to Zumies to get shoes like Chris had!
We will forever cherish all the touch football games, swim time in the backyards, and all of our block parties. Chris was so great with all the "little" kids. His smile. Something we will never forget. I know Chris is up in Heaven to watch over us, and to help guide the "little" kids. We will never forget you Chris.
