Chuck Lockhart Obituary

Chuck Lockhart
August 21, 2021
Florence, Oregon - Chuck Lockhart, 75, passed away on August 21 after a sudden, brief illness. Chuck lived a full and happy life with his beloved wife Beverly at his side. Also surviving him are his loving children: Steven in Sacramento; Michelle (Wes) and grandson Cameron in Reno, Nevada; and Blair (Alicia) and grandson Lars in Sitka, Alaska.
Born and raised in southern California, Chuck served in the Navy and then began a 40-year career as a chiropractor in Carmichael where he was a champion of holistic health. His passions included playing the trumpet, brewing beer, and trips in the RV with his wife. He was a charter member of the Sacramento SwingMasters and would often serenade Bev with Frank Sinatra vocals. Wherever he was in his life he brought his trumpet and love of big band music. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed trips with buddies that included hiking the Sierra Nevadas, the Grand Canyon, and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. He was also a nationally certified beer judge. In Florence, he became a member of New Life Lutheran Church.
Chuck loved people and was happy to hold court on any subject of interest and some of no interest. He was active until the end and could often be seen cooking for his family, playing music, and socializing at the Elks Lodge. A celebration of his life is being planned by family and friends.
