My condolences to the Sylvester family. In my eyes, Mr. Sylvester (pop's) was always a respectable man. He was dedicated to God, served his church, family and community. My memories of him are happy times when we were in high school. He was disciplined and he knew how to laugh. Although I am sad for his passing, I am happy to know he is with the Lord.

If any man should be emulated by any young or old man, it would be Clarence. I respected him as much as my own father as he demonstrated his love for Jesus Christ and family. My dad always said he was a his brother from another mother. It was always a benefit to sit and talk with Clarence about many subjects. He was a man of uncommon insight and profound common sense. This world is less with his passing but I know he is rejoicing in heaven and no doubt in deep discussion with my father. May God grant comfort to his family and may they rejoice in the knowledge that they will one day see their father again in heaven.

My grandfather was not only a man of God he was a man about education. No matter what he had going on or how sick he got he always asked me how school was going and told me how proud he was. Knowing what he went through so that I could have the luxury of an education and not have to suffer like he did is a blessings. His sacrifice lives through myself and all my cousins we will keep it going. I will see you again soon Pops for now take care of Uncle Sam for me and my Auntie Joann, you will love her.

My father left a lasting legacy with his family and the many friends that became family. He was a quite man but when he spoke you knew that he had a strong bond with the lord that he shared with everyone he met. He was not perfect but he was my father and I will love him through all eternity. See you when I get to heaven, your daughter Cheryl
