Craig LLOYD Obituary

LLOYD, Craig Thomas
Born in Marysville, CA 8/19/51, passed unexpectedly in Sacramento 10/5/10. Survived by his wife, Fai Callaway-Lloyd, sons Jesse & Jason Lloyd, stepdaughter Lauren Garcia, mother Clarice Heenan (Henry Chan), father Robert Lloyd (Marilyn), sister Karen Cindelar & her children Shelby, Chad & Sean, sister Kathy Dooley (Tom), & previous wife Nancy Lloyd. Craig graduated in 1969 from Mills HS in Millbrae, CA, & majored in political science at CSU Chico. He then traveled Central America and moved to the "Canyons" south east of Chico during the early 70s, where he discovered his spirituality & his love for guitar. Craig lived and worked in San Diego from 1982 to 2003, then moved to Sacramento in 2003 & worked for Elk Grove SD until his early retirement in 2008. Craig was a kind & non-judgmental man who would do anything for his family & friends, he would give his last dollar to someone in need. He loved art & wrote wonderful music that reflected his life. Craig kept his friends for a lifetime, including friends from his early life through high school, from the hippy days, musicians & band members from San Diego, & new friends in Sacramento. All of us will remember him with love. Craig would say, "life and death, its all a Twist of Fate". A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on 10/23/10 at the Moose Lodge, 205 S. Walton Ave., Yuba City, CA.

Craig was my big brother. I remember how he used to lift me over his head and spin me around, and how he'd chase after me and tickle me once he caught me. Most of all, I remember his big smile and contagious laugh.

He was a man who lived with abandon; he embraced life with an open heart and open mind. He was never one to judge. Instead he accepted people as they were, and if you were lucky enough to be among those he loved and/ or cared for, you were very lucky indeed.

I may not have said this often enough, so I will say it now: I love you Craig and am proud to be your little sister. RIP
