I was sad to hear of his passing. When I came to Sacramento as Chief Collection, I met Curtis he was always a professional Revenue Officer. My prayers are with you, and I will cherish my memories.

May God comfort and Bless your family in their hour of sorrow. Curtis was a good friend and fellow Revenue Officer. He was a member of the Sacramento Chapter of A.I.M.-I.R.S. As the president of the chapter, I wish to express our condolence to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Curtis' loved ones. He was a great person. I totally enjoyed my job as his secretary. He was always kind and caring to all. I will never forget how he allowed me to keep the little white dog I found at the Federal Building in our upstairs office and in fact named him as he jokingly called him Viscious. I know Curtis is at peace and although he will be greatly missed, I am certain he will continue watching over his family in Spirit.

GOOD BYE, MY DEAREST FRIEND AND BROTHER . . . NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS IN A TOTAL STATE OF SHOCK WHEN I HEARD THE NEWS THIS MORNING ON THE TELEPHONE. YOU HAD BEEN GONE FOR FIVE DAYS . . . AND, I JUST LEARNED ABOUT IT THIS MORNING. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO TELEPHONE YOU TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY TRIP TO MARS, PA. I AM GLAD WE HAD THAT LITTLE TALK BECAUSE IT TURNED OUT TO BE EXACTLY AS YOU TOLD ME . . . I HAVE PICTURES OF WHEN YOU CAME TO CELEBRATE DORI'S BIRTHDAY LAST MAY (I DON'T REMEMBER IF I SHARED THEM WITH YOU). THANK YOU FOR DRIVING THE 70 PLUS MILES JUST TO SHARE YOUR TIME WITH US. BOTH DORI AND HER SISTER CORRIE ARE GRIEVING YOUR PASSING. YOU CERTAINLY LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION ON ALL OF OUR LIVES, MY FRIEND. . . IT WAS AT YOUR HOME THAT DORI EXPERIENCED HER FIRST CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION BACK IN THE 70'S . . . AS A MATTER OF FACT, IT WAS YOU WHO DROVE TO THE AIRPORT IN SAN FRANCISCO TO TAKE US TO SACRAMENTO WHEN WE ARRIVED FROM THE PHILIPPINES AFTER OUR MARRIAGE IN MANILA. THANK YOU AGAIN, AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIMES YOU CAME TO HELP US IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. AND, YOU KNOW, CURTIS, I STILL HAVE A COPY OF THE GREAT JOB PERFORMANCE YOU DID FOR ME WHEN YOU MADE THAT LAST FIELD TRIP WHEN I WAS A REVENUE REP (IT WAS THAT REPORT THAT EXPEDITED MY EARLY PROMOTION TO REVENUE OFFICER). YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED BY DORI AND I AND ALL THE FAMILY. AND, I WILL ALWAYS WONDER WHY WE NEVER GOT TO MEET EACH OTHER BACK IN THE 40'S WHEN WE FOUND OUT WE HAD USED THAT GREAT SWIMMING POOL IN THE HILL DISTRICT IN PITTSBURGH. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN UNTIL WE MET WHEN YOU WERE ASSIGNED TO THE IRS COLLECTION DIVISION AS A WORK STUDY STUDENT FROM SACRAMENTO STATE COLLEGE. IT IS HARD FOR ME TO REALIZE THAT I WILL NOT BE SEEING YOU AGAIN . . . MAY YOU REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
