Darwin Carstensen Obituary

Darwin Carstensen

March 9, 1938 - January 11, 2025

North Highlands, California - Darwin passed peacefully into eternity on January 11, 2025, at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Bernice; by his brothers Paul, Calvin, and Ron; and by his wife Sandy, daughter Denise, and grandson Jake.

He leaves behind the pride of his life, his four children Robert, Michael, Suzanne, and Anne, as well as the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews he held dear.

Darwin's career in the Air Force instilled in him many of the characteristics that would serve him so well in life and in his second career with Century 21 Real Estate. The introductions to new people engendered in him a life-long social joy that led him make friends wherever he went.

In addition to time with his family and friends, he enjoyed sailing, dancing, playing Bridge, and studying about his Savior Jesus.

Darwin's departure has left a hole, and he will be sorely missed.

I had fond memories of Darwin. He managed to C-21 office at Greenback & Beech when I was selling Title Insurance and for a very brief minute I had hung my license at his office before going to home warranty sales. That was 30 years ago and I still remember that at of all the managers I could have gone to I went with Darwin. He was a kind and encouraging person and I´m glad I had the opportunity to know him.
