Fair Oaks, California - David (Dave) E. Evans Jr. age 76, died at home on February 4, 2022. Only child to David E. Evans and Ina Mae Rogers Evans. Born June 6,1945 in Stockton, he lived in Fair Oaks and worked at Pacific Gas and Electric for 35 years as an Engineer. Dave served a short time in the United States Army as a Private First Class before starting his career with Pacific Gas and Electric. Dave is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cynthia Evans, sons Chris Evans, Steve Roman, daughter Corrie Whitt, son-in-law Kevin Whitt, daughter-in-law Tracy Roman, 6 grandchildren, Stephen, Keith, Calista, Anthony, Logan, Cameron and 9 great grandchildren, Allison, Bryan, Stephen, Trinity, Dalis, Fernando, Shaelyn, Shawn and Aurora. Dave was the strength of his family, always the voice or reason and common sense. He would light up when he talked about history, his guns, genealogy, his wife, children and grandchildren. Dave was normally the quite person who observed what was going on however, he had the most infectious laugh and made those around him feel included. He will be forever missed.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Fair Oaks Cemetery at 7780 Olive St. Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Relatives and friends are then welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at VFW Post 6158 located at 8990 Kruitof Way Fair Oaks, CA 95628.

Dave and I worked together on-and-off for over 30 years. He and his infectious smile always brightened up the day, and helped get those around him through all the difficult times. He was one of the most friendly and nicest people I ever worked with, and he will be missed. When I think of him, that big smile just explodes into view. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
