Grandpa,
You were my most favorite grandpa. I liked how you bought me toys. I remember when I hugged you your hearing aid would whistle. I love you very much. I miss you.

Dave Levite was a wonderful, kind, caring man. I enjoyed every moment I spent with him and only wish there had been more - from our trip to Cache Creek to our trip to the Auto Museum where he hung his oxygen tank on my mom's wheel chair and pushed her, slowly, around the museum, where we all marveled at the old cars. He was a dear friend to my mom, always looking out for her welfare and happiness, always trying to make her laugh, feel respected, and remember her life. He brought her flowers every week or candy (which he scooted down to Safeway to buy). Even though my mom doesn't really remember anything for more than a few seconds, he never gave up on her, took her to dinner downstairs, sent her cards for Valentine's Day, birthdays, etc. Even though she didn't remember who they were from, I know they made her feel good and that's what he always tried to do, make her feel good. I could go on and on about Dave, he was a joy to know and Mom and I will miss him very much.
