Dennis Cole

1935 - 2025

Dennis Welles Cole passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 5, 1935, in Anacortes, Washington, he was the eldest son of four children to Willis and Lois Cole.

Dennis later moved with his family to Eureka where he attended Eureka High School. There, he discovered two passions, his love for football and the love of his life, Constance Stebbins. After graduation, in 1957 he and Constance married then moved to Sacramento where they built a beautiful life and marriage that lasted 68 years. He took great pride in his service with the National Guard that lasted for over 7 years but decided that due to his growing family he needed to stay close to them. Throughout their years together, Denny and Connie had 3 beautiful daughters: Denise Marine Cole (deceased), Michele Lynn Stewart (Gary) and Carrie Ann Whitlow (Terry).

Dennis began his professional career in the title insurance industry but then followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Denco Roofing and Home and Yard Supply. Later, he partnered with Moxie Cement Sealer & consulting and was a CS Manager at JB Concrete & Construction.

Dennis was a dedicated member of his community, including coach for Carmichael Softball League, an active member of Carmichael Lions Club and Carmichael Elk Lodge. Dennis became a docent at the California Automobile Museum as he had a love for classic cars. When he wasn't working or volunteering, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, taking care of his horse, co-owner of a sprint car and racing team, co-owner of a plane he learned to fly and of course, spending time with his family. He really valued family traditions and looked forward to the annual family reunions bringing together his loved ones from California, Oregon and Washington.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Constance, daughters Michele and CarrieAnn and grandchildren Carrisa Whitlow, Tyler Whitlow and Chance Whitlow.

Dennis lived a full rich life with passion, purpose and pride in his family, and his humor, love and strong spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
