Dennis Westerberg Obituary
NELSON
In Rancho Murieta, CA, June 1, 2002. Devoted husband of Sloane. Loving father of Dalton and Shannon. Loved son of Aileen Westerberg and the late Percy F. Westerberg of Sloughhouse. Loving brother of his late twin, Michael T. Westerberg, also of Sloughhouse, and his sister, Susan W. Prager of Los Angeles. Respected uncle of McKinley and Case Prager, Jonathan and Joshua Westerberg and Casey, Cody and Chloe Scott and Timothy, Tyler and Caitlin Scott. Westerberg is a fifth generation Californian, a descendant of the Pioneer Rhoads Family who settled in the Sloughhouse area in 1847. He was raised in the home built in 1852 by his great-great-grandmother Catherine Rhoads Sheldon and her husband John Mahone. Aged 57 years, he graduated from Elk Grove High School, received a B.S in Agriculture from UC Davis, and earned a law degree from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Previously, Dennis owned and operated Horizon Helicopters in Rancho Murieta, and at the time of his death, he managed his own law firm, Dennis N. Westerberg Law Corporation. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Mass to be offered for the repose of his soul, Friday, June 7 at 1pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14673 Cantova Way, Rancho Murieta, CA. Preferred memorials are St. John Vianney School, 10499 Coloma Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 and Cordova Baptist Preschool, 10527 Coloma Road, Rancho Cordova CA 95670. My sincere condolences to the family of Dennis. He was my attorney over the last 13 years. He was a very caring, devoted person and attorney. The world has lost a very special man, but his spirit will live on. Its nice to know that there are people, that really care about others whether they are rich or poor, or their color. I was saddened to hear that Dennis passed away. I grew up on the Westerberg Ranch. My father Tony Arjil was a foreman there and I have fond memories of living there. My brothers (Richard & Tony Arjil and sister Yolanda (Arjil) Silva) were friends with Mike and Dennis. They spent time at each others homes as we were growing up. We used to live in the house that Mike & Renee lived in on Meiss Road. We have old home movies of them and Susan and my siblings giving a fashion show at the Westerberg home. It's just so sad to know that both Mike & Dennis are gone. I would like to express my condolences.
